Allows Becker County Board of Commissioners to combine the offices of county auditor-treasurer and recorder and make them appointive instead of elective by adopting a resolution.

Requires county board to publish the proposed resolution twice weekly for two consecutive weeks and hold a public comment hearing before adopting; resolution must be approved by at least 80 percent of board members.

Permits county voters to petition for a referendum within 60 days of resolution adoption if petition is signed by at least 10 percent of registered voters; referendum question must pass by majority vote for the offices to become appointive.

Allows currently elected officials to complete their terms or until a vacancy occurs, whichever happens first.

Enables the county board to revert the offices back to elected positions after they have been appointive for at least three years, subject to 60 percent board approval and similar public notice requirements.
