Requires all licensed teachers renewing their continuing license to complete further preparation in cultural competency training that develops behaviors, attitudes, and policies for understanding and working effectively with people of different cultures, effective September 1, 2014.

Requires all licensed school administrators renewing their professional license to include cultural competency training in their continuing education requirements, effective September 1, 2014.

Cultural competency training for both teachers and administrators must help them develop understanding and skills for working effectively across different cultures.

Applies to teachers and school administrators seeking license renewal after September 1, 2014.
