Amends Minnesota Statutes section 123B.49, subdivision 4 to allow physically able resident pupils temporarily placed in care and treatment programs to participate in district extracurricular activities on the same basis as public school students.

Adds care and treatment program students to the existing provision that allows home school resident pupils to be eligible for full extracurricular activity participation.

Maintains existing definitions and regulations of extracurricular activities, including that they are not offered for school credit, not required for graduation, and primarily conducted outside school hours.

Effective the day following final enactment.
