Authorizes a specific former Wadena County sheriff's deputy (born August 11, 1971, hired March 9, 2006) to file a retroactive disability benefit application with the public employees police and fire retirement plan based on a March 11, 2006 shooting incident near Sebelia, Minnesota.

Allows the application despite the normal November 11, 2007 deadline for disability benefit applications, provided it is filed by July 1, 2014.

Applies only to an individual who resigned in October 2010 after six months of mental health treatment and did not meet the original deadline for applying for a mental health-related disability benefit.

Entitles the eligible person to receive duty disability benefits under Minnesota Statutes section 353.656, subdivisions 1 or 1a, including retroactive benefit payments from April 1, 2006, if approved by the Public Employees Retirement Association.

Takes effect the day following final enactment.
