Amends Minnesota Statutes section 97C.417 to replace the term "Asian carp" with "invasive carp" in reporting requirements for grass carp, bighead carp, and silver carp species.

Requires persons who take invasive carp species to report the type of carp taken to the commissioner within seven days of taking.

Prohibits the commissioner of natural resources from proposing laws to the legislature containing the term "Asian carp" and mandates use of "invasive carp" or specific species names in proposed laws, rules, and official documents.

Effective the day following final enactment.
