Establishes a school year-long student teaching pilot program for the 2014-2015 through 2017-2018 school years to provide teacher candidates with intensive classroom learning and research-based practices.

Allows approved teacher preparation programs partnering with school districts or charter schools to apply to the Board of Teaching for pilot program participation.

Requires student teachers in the program to have access to mentor teacher teams, ongoing coaching and assessment, individual professional development plans, and structured learning experiences developed in collaboration with local education professionals.

Directs the Board of Teaching to make efforts to select qualified and diverse applicants from throughout the state and submit annual data-based reports to education committees by February 1.

Permits districts participating in the pilot program to use staff development revenue to fund the school year-long student teaching program.
