Authorizes the personal representative of a victim's estate to request or enforce a restitution order if the victim dies before or after restitution is requested or ordered.

Allows an heir of the victim to file an affidavit to request or enforce a restitution order if no personal representative has been appointed and no application is pending.

Preserves the right of other victims as defined in section 611A.01 to independently request restitution orders regardless of whether a personal representative has been appointed.

Amends Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 611A.04 by adding subdivision 6.

Effective the day following final enactment.
