Creates a civil cause of action allowing sex trafficking victims to sue persons who violate Minnesota Statute section 609.322 (sex trafficking offense)

Court may award damages including punitive damages, reasonable attorney fees, and other litigation costs reasonably incurred by the victim

Applies evidentiary protections outlined in section 611A.83 to civil actions under this section, but these protections do not apply to subsequent violent crime prosecutions

Effective August 1, 2013, and applies to causes of action commenced on or after that date
