Amends criminal and traffic offense surcharge amounts in Minnesota Statutes section 357.021, subdivision 6, replacing the current $75 surcharge with a blank amount to be determined, and the $12 parking violation surcharge with a blank amount to be determined.

Modifies the disbursement of surcharges in section 357.021, subdivision 7, by replacing the $47 amount credited to the general fund with a blank amount to be determined.

Amends appellate court filing fees in section 357.08 by replacing three instances of the $550 fee amount with blank amounts to be determined for appeals, petitions for review from Court of Appeals decisions, and petitions for permission to appeal.

Retains existing provisions that surcharges cannot be waived except for installment payment authorization upon showing of indigency or undue hardship.

Maintains current exemptions from surcharges for administrative citations and disbarment proceedings, and exemptions from appellate filing fees for state actions taken in the public interest.
