Commissioner shall apply criteria from sections 171.321 and 171.3215 when issuing, denying, renewing, or canceling school bus endorsements.

Applicant's failure to cooperate with criminal records check is reasonable cause to deny application or cancel endorsement.

Commissioner may issue temporary school bus endorsement for up to 180 days upon presentation of notarized affidavit from applicant and authorized school district official attesting to criminal records check request.

Commissioner shall not consider initial endorsement application for individuals charged with felony against another until applicant is found not guilty.

Drivers with school bus endorsement charged with felony against another must notify employer within seven days or face revocation; reinstatement requires acquittal or the later of five years after final disposition or release from correctional facility.
