Commissioner of Education must work with the Minnesota School Safety Center to collect, maintain, and make available contact information for school crisis response teams throughout the state.

In regions without an existing crisis response team established by a school district, county, or city, the commissioner must convene a working group to develop a plan to form a regional crisis response team.

Crisis response teams may include members from public and private sectors representing disciplines such as school administrators, guidance counselors, psychologists, social workers, teachers, nurses, security experts, and media relations professionals.

Creates new law codified in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 119A, section 035.
