Creates Minnesota Statutes section 92.83 authorizing the commissioner of natural resources to condemn school trust lands where long-term economic return is prohibited by designation or policy.

Requires the attorney general to commence condemnation proceedings when the commissioner has determined sufficient funds are available to acquire lands identified under section 84.027, subdivision 18, paragraph (c).

Directs that land value from condemnation awards be deposited into the permanent school fund, with remaining award portions first reimbursing expense accounts before depositing any remainder into the permanent school fund.

Appropriates an unspecified amount from the general fund to the commissioner of natural resources for condemnation purposes, with the appropriation not lapsing and subject to Minnesota Statutes section 16A.28, subdivision 5.
