Commissioner of Natural Resources, in consultation with agriculture and health commissioners, University of Minnesota, other land grant universities, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, shall determine whether and to what extent neonicotinoid pesticides are present in wild deer tissue in Minnesota.

Commissioner of Natural Resources must report findings to legislative committees with jurisdiction over natural resources, agriculture, and health no later than February 15, 2017.

Unspecified amount appropriated from the game and fish fund in fiscal year 2017 to the Commissioner of Natural Resources for the study.

Unspecified amount appropriated from the pesticide regulatory account in the agricultural fund in fiscal year 2017 to the Commissioner of Agriculture for laboratory work required by the study.
