• School boards must adopt policies requiring parent notification 2-6 weeks before any class, activity, or program involving human reproduction, sexual matters, sexual orientation, or sexual acts, and written parental permission is required for student participation.

• School districts and educational services organizations are prohibited from permitting abortion services providers or their employees or volunteers to offer instruction, sponsor, or furnish materials relating to human sexuality or sexually transmitted diseases.

• School districts are banned from contracting with abortion services providers.

• School districts must obtain prior written informed consent from parents before administering student surveys or similar instruments that solicit information about political beliefs, mental/psychological problems, sexual behavior, illegal conduct, religious beliefs, or income-related information.

• Parents have 14 days notice before survey administration and may access survey instruments at a convenient location; parents seeking district compliance have civil remedies available under section 13.08, subdivision 4.
