Amends Minnesota Statutes 2015 Supplement, section 136A.125, subdivision 2 regarding child care grant eligibility requirements for higher education students.

Expands eligibility to include students pursuing graduate or professional degree programs who have earned a baccalaureate degree and been enrolled full-time less than eight semesters or equivalent.

Maintains existing eligibility requirements including Minnesota residency, income limits, child care needs for children 12 years or younger (or 14 years if disabled), and good academic standing.

Grants an additional semester of eligibility to students who withdraw due to active military service ordered after December 31, 2002, or for major illness under medical care that substantially limits ability to complete the term.

Allows students who withdraw for qualifying reasons to maintain continuing enrollment status upon return.
