Extends the sunset of an exception to the consumer-directed community supports budget methodology under home and community-based services waivers for eligible participants.

Provides up to 20 percent additional funding for participants who turn 21 and graduate from high school between 2013 and the effective date of Laws 2015, chapter 71, article 7, section 54, and would otherwise be forced to leave consumer-directed community supports.

Exception limited to participants who can demonstrate their day or employment support needs cannot be met within standard consumer-directed community supports budget limits.

Amendments become effective June 1, 2016, and expire when Laws 2015, chapter 71, article 7, section 54, becomes effective; commissioner must notify revisor of statutes when that date occurs.

Commissioner shall consult with stakeholders to implement the exception process, which becomes effective upon federal approval for eligible persons through June 30, 2017.
