Commissioner of Labor and Industry, in consultation with the Commissioner of Health, shall convene a working group to address safe handling of chemotherapy drugs.

Working group must include representatives from 10 specified organizations including the Department of Labor and Industry, Department of Health, Minnesota Nurses Association, Minnesota Hospital Association, Minnesota Board of Pharmacy, and Minnesota Oncology Nurses Society, with each group selecting up to three participants.

Working group must convene no later than July 1, 2016, and report recommendations for improving safe handling of chemotherapy drugs to legislative committees with jurisdiction over health and labor and industry no later than January 1, 2017.

An unspecified amount from the general fund is appropriated to the Commissioner of Labor and Industry in fiscal year 2017 to convene and administer the working group.

The appropriation is a onetime allocation.
