Establishes a pollinator investment grant program allowing the commissioner of agriculture to award grants equal to ten percent of qualifying expenditures for best management practices protecting wild and managed insect pollinators.

Eligible qualifying expenditures include adding native flowering plants as cover crops or prairie strips, renovating pastures with native plants, interseeding legumes with corn or soybean, planting riparian and wetland areas with perennial cover, planting flowering plants in vegetative buffer strips, planting living snow fences, and increasing plant diversity in nonproductive areas.

Requires applicants to be Minnesota residents or eligible farm entities, be the principal farm operator, and apply to the commissioner with documentation of qualifying expenditures made during the qualifying period.

Sets maximum grant limits per person or entity, with different limits for married couples and various business entity types (partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, estates).

Appropriates an unspecified amount from the general fund in fiscal year 2017 to the commissioner of agriculture for program implementation.
