Exempts Minnesota and all its political subdivisions from observing daylight saving time (advanced time) between 2:00 a.m. on the second Sunday in March and 2:00 a.m. on the first Sunday in November each year

Requires the state and political subdivisions to observe standard time established by United States Code, title 15, sections 261 to 264 during the daylight saving time period

Does not affect federal law governing interstate commerce carriers or the time requirements for federal government officers and departments

Becomes effective January 1, 2017
