Establishes a 22-member School Resource Officers Task Force to identify, review, evaluate, and recommend standards and training requirements for school resource officers.

Membership includes representatives from law enforcement, education, schools, students, mental health, disability advocacy, and communities including Native American, African-American, Latino, and Asian-Pacific groups.

Task force must recommend statewide standards on how and when school resource officers participate in student discipline, review selection criteria, develop training protocols, and establish best practices.

Requires the task force to evaluate the 2014 Department of Public Safety statewide survey on law enforcement in schools and recommend implementation of its findings.

Task force must submit a written report by February 1, 2017, to legislative committees with jurisdiction over public safety and K-12 education, and sunsets by February 2, 2017.
