Increases maximum gross vehicle weight limits by up to 550 pounds for motor vehicles equipped with idle-reduction technology or emissions-reduction technology to compensate for the weight of such equipment.

Increases maximum gross vehicle weight limits by up to 2,000 pounds for natural gas vehicles, calculated according to United States Code, title 23, section 127(s).

Allows both weight limit increases to be applied cumulatively to the same vehicle if it qualifies for both credits.

Requires vehicle operators to provide proof through documentation or demonstration to Department of Transportation or Public Safety representatives upon request that their vehicle meets the requirements for weight limit increases.

Directs the revisor of statutes to recodify Minnesota Statutes section 160.02, subdivision 21a, as section 169.011, subdivision 46a, and correct related cross-references.
