Appropriates $1,500,000 from the general fund in fiscal year 2017 to the Commissioner of Employment and Economic Development for a grant to Latino Communities United in Service (CLUES)

Funds culturally tailored programs addressing employment and education skill gaps for working parents and underserved youth, including job skills training, family support systems to reduce generational poverty, and youth career pathway programming

Requires at least $500,000 of the appropriation to support programming in greater Minnesota

CLUES must submit a report by March 1, 2018 to legislative committees with primary jurisdiction over jobs, including program type, duration, attendance, and quantifiable measures of success

Appropriation remains available until spent
