Appropriates $380,000 in fiscal year 2017 from the general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a regional American Indian contextualized adult basic education pathway program.

Grant funds support the American Indian Opportunities and Industrialization Center and the Northwest Indian Community Development Center to reduce academic disparities for American Indian adults.

Authorized uses of grant funds include training in information technology, GED assistance, remedial training for postsecondary enrollment, and real-time work experience in information technology fields.

Funds are available as a onetime appropriation through June 30, 2018.
