$26,200,000 total appropriated to the commissioner of administration for Capitol Complex security upgrades based on the 2014 Minnesota State Capitol Complex Physical Security Study.

$7,700,000 appropriated from the general fund for security improvements to Andersen, Freeman, Retirement Systems, and Transportation buildings, including bollards, blast protection, security screen walls, door access controls, and traffic control.

$18,500,000 appropriated from bond proceeds fund for security upgrades to Administration, Centennial, Judicial, Ag/Health Lab, Minnesota History Center, Capitol Complex Power Plant and Shops, Stassen, State Office, and Veterans Service buildings.

Commissioner of management and budget authorized to sell and issue state bonds up to $18,500,000 under Minnesota Statutes sections 16A.631 to 16A.675 and Minnesota Constitution article XI, sections 4 to 7.

Security work includes installation of bollards, blast protection, infrastructure security screen walls, door access controls, emergency call stations, security kiosks, locking devices, and traffic control at buildings, tunnel systems, grounds, and parking facilities.
