Amends Minnesota Statutes section 181.171 to require employers to pay out the monetary equivalent of accrued or allotted paid vacation days and other paid days off (excluding sick days) at an employee's rate of pay upon separation from employment.

Voids and makes unenforceable any employment contract or agreement that provides for employee forfeiture of accrued or allotted paid vacation days or other paid days off at separation, except in valid collective bargaining agreements.

Prohibits accrued or allotted paid vacation days and other paid days off from canceling, expiring, or becoming unavailable at a certain date or after a certain period of time, unless otherwise provided in a valid collective bargaining agreement.

Excludes sick days from the paid time off payout requirements and protections.
