Appropriates an unspecified amount from the general fund in fiscal year 2017 to the Minnesota Historical Society for planning and predesign of the Almelund Creamery Company Building restoration.

Covers a former creamery building built in 1919, located in Amador Township, Chisago County, at the corner of Trunk Highway 95 and Chisago County State Aid Highway 12 (Park Trail).

Requires the planning process to include local community participation and exploration of historic designation, various ownership structures (including cooperative ownership), and restoration of food processing and marketing functions.

Appropriation remains available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes section 16A.642.

Takes effect the day following final enactment.
