Requires local welfare agencies to determine whether a report is accepted for assessment or investigation within 24 hours of receipt.

Mandates that schools inform parents, guardians, or legal custodians within ten days of receiving a report of alleged maltreatment in a school facility.

Establishes that schools must promptly inform parents, guardians, or custodians of any incident that may constitute child maltreatment, including when it occurred and the nature of the conduct.

Takes effect the day following final enactment.
