MN HF841

Adds two new categories of students eligible for resident status in Minnesota for higher education grants and scholarships: active members of the state's National Guard who reside in Minnesota, and active members of the U.S. armed forces reserve component whose duty station is in Minnesota and who reside in Minnesota.

Expands the definition of "resident student" in Minnesota Statutes 2014, section 136A.101, subdivision 8, to include spouses and dependents of these active military members.

Requires the adjutant general of the Department of Military Affairs to report to the legislature by January 15, 2016, on how contractual mandatory arbitration provisions affect active duty military service members' rights to protection from foreclosures and repossessions.
