Online applications for hunting and fishing licenses through the Department of Natural Resources must allow applicants to indicate a desire to make an anatomical gift compliant with the Darlene Luther Revised Uniform Anatomical Gift Act, chapter 525A.

The commissioner must distribute organ and tissue donation education through Department of Natural Resources print and digital communications targeting hunters and fishers, prepared in conjunction with a Minnesota organ procurement organization.

When an individual consents to share private data for donor records during an online application, the commissioner must provide the applicant's name and address to the designated federal organ procurement organization, with this information classified as private data.

The commissioner of natural resources must submit a report by January 1, 2018 describing implementation progress, departmental record access arrangements, and any delays or problems encountered.
