Amends Minnesota Statutes section 122A.69 to clarify that the Board of Teaching may arrange classroom experience agreements with teacher preparation institutions for practice or student teachers who have completed at least two years of an approved teacher education program.

Requires practice or student teachers to be placed with a cooperating licensed teacher who has at least three years of teaching experience and holds an "exemplary" or "effective" evaluation rating (or equivalent) based on most recent summative evaluation under sections 122A.40 or 122A.41.

Designates practice and student teachers as school district employees for purposes of workers' compensation, liability insurance, and legal counsel protections under sections 123B.23 and 123B.25.

Makes technical corrections to statutory language by replacing "promulgated" with "adopted" and "in accordance with" with "under" for clarity.

Effective date is the 2017-2018 school year and later.
