S.F. No. 1631 - Postsecondary Credit Provisions

• Modifies personal learning plan requirements for students to ensure plans recognize each student's unique talents, skills, and abilities as they develop.

• Expands the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) to allow eligible students and alternative pupils to receive reimbursement for up to six examination fees, with priority given to low-income students and expedited reimbursement within 60 days.

• Consolidates and reorganizes postsecondary enrollment options provisions by renumbering sections related to concurrent enrollment and CLEP programs into the Postsecondary Enrollment Options Act.

• Changes concurrent enrollment aid from a fixed $150 per pupil to four percent of the general education formula allowance per pupil enrolled in a concurrent enrollment course.

• Repeals section 120B.14 (Advanced Academic Credit) and appropriates unspecified amounts for fiscal years 2016-2017 for the postsecondary enrollment options program.
