Commissioner must spend minimum 15 percent of unclaimed property division funds on public notice and annually report to legislature on those expenditures.

Commissioner must designate at least two full-time equivalent positions dedicated to returning abandoned property to owners.

Department of Commerce must post alphabetically-organized list of abandoned property owners on its website, updated at least three times annually and accessible at all times.

Largest circulation newspapers in each county must publish annual lists of property owners with property valued at $500 or more, with at least 180 days of free public web access required.

Commissioner must provide each legislator annually beginning July 1, 2017 with lists of abandoned property owners in their legislative district and report to legislature by January 1, 2017 on claim filing processes and method effectiveness.
