Amends Minnesota Statutes section 484.90, subdivision 6, to designate the county attorney as the attorney for any town in which a violation occurs for purposes of allocating court fines, penalties, and forfeitures.

Applies fines and forfeitures allocation rules when a city contracts with the county attorney for prosecutorial services, a city with population of 600 or less gives prosecution duty to the county attorney, or the attorney general provides assistance to the county attorney.

Maintains existing allocation formula: 100 percent of parking violation fines go to the city or town where the offense occurred, while two-thirds of all other fines go to the city or town and one-third goes to the state general fund.
