Classifies data about unfair labor practice charges and appeals filed with the Public Employment Relations Board as protected nonpublic or confidential data, except when admitted into evidence at hearings.

Makes public the filing date, status, names of parties, legal provisions alleged violated, issued complaints, full hearing records, hearing officer decisions, board exceptions and briefs, and final board decisions and orders.

Allows individuals access to their own statements provided to the board and permits the board to disclose protected data if necessary to implement labor relations laws or ensure due process.

Exempts Public Employment Relations Board meetings from open meetings law when deliberating on unfair labor practice charges, reviewing hearing officer decisions, reviewing commissioner decisions on unfair labor practices, or exercising hiring authority.

Effective date: July 1, 2015.
