Proposes adding Section 18 to Article I of the Minnesota Constitution stating "Equality under the law shall not be abridged or denied on account of sex."

Requires submission of the amendment to voters at the 2016 general election with the ballot title "Equal Rights Amendment."

If ratified by voters, the amendment becomes effective January 1, 2017.

Ballot question asks: "Shall the Minnesota Constitution be amended to provide that equality under the law must not be abridged or denied on account of sex?"
