Board of Teaching shall adopt rules to create a music production teacher license for kindergarten through grade 12 instruction in music production competence and general music technology, theory, and practice

Licensed teachers must hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university

Teachers must demonstrate competency in identifying and analyzing 20th and 21st century musical forms, styles, and performance contexts, plus knowledge of music technology and audio recording hardware and computer programs

Teachers must demonstrate skills in song writing, recording music, audio production/mixing/mastering, guitar or keyboard performance, and vocal performance

Teachers must demonstrate knowledge of popular chord progressions and rhythms, poetry or lyricism, instructional methods for students of varying abilities, and musical entrepreneurship and music business
