Commissioner of Human Services must establish a process to allow federally qualified health centers participating in the medical assistance program to determine presumptive eligibility for applicants.

Presumptive eligibility determinations apply only to pregnant women or children under age one who may qualify using the modified adjusted gross income methodology.

Federally qualified health centers must meet qualification requirements established by the commissioner before being authorized to make eligibility determinations.

Effective date is January 1, 2017.
