Amends Minnesota Statutes section 169A.63, subdivision 7, to modify vehicle forfeiture provisions regarding multiple vehicle owners.

Changes forfeiture protection language from singular "owner" to plural "owners," allowing any of multiple owners to demonstrate lack of knowledge or reasonable preventative steps to avoid forfeiture.

Clarifies that if an offender is a family or household member of any owner and has three or more prior impaired driving convictions, any owner is presumed to know of unlawful vehicle use.

Effective August 1, 2016, and applies to all forfeiture actions occurring on or after that date.
