Commissioner of Education must designate the on-site education programs at Prairie Lakes Education Center and Lake Park School in Independent School District No. 347, Willmar, as state-approved alternative programs qualifying for funding under Minnesota Statutes, section 124D.128.

Approved on-site education programs must report to the commissioner of education in the form and manner required and comply with all provisions applicable to learning year programs under Minnesota Statutes, section 124D.128.

An unspecified amount from the general fund is appropriated to the commissioner of education in fiscal year 2017 for additional general education aid resulting from this designation.
