Amends Minnesota Statutes 2014, section 116L.666 to modify terminology and requirements for workforce development areas in the state.

Changes terminology throughout the statute from "workforce service area" to "workforce development area" and from "local workforce councils" to "local workforce development boards."

Increases the minimum percentage of membership on local workforce development boards for community-based organizations from 15 percent to 20 percent.

Adds apprenticeship training directors and companies or trade associations with recognized apprenticeship programs as required representatives on local workforce development boards.

Directs the revisor of statutes to change all references to "workforce service area" or "workforce service areas" to "workforce development area" or "workforce development areas" throughout Minnesota statutes.
