Board must prepare a training course to help peace officers identify, disrupt, prevent, strategize, and defeat domestic terrorist operations before they occur and respond to them when they do occur.

"Domestic terrorism" is defined as the term used in United States Code, title 18, section 2331(5).

Individuals are not eligible to take the peace officer licensing examination after January 1, 2017, unless they have received training under the new domestic terrorism course.

Board must provide instructional materials on domestic terrorism to chief law enforcement officers for in-service training that meet continuing education credit requirements and be updated periodically.

Board must seek funding for an educational conference to inform and sensitize chief law enforcement officers and other interested persons to law enforcement issues associated with bias crimes and crimes of violence.
