Removes the statewide possession limit of one northern pike larger than 30 inches and replaces it with zone-based management limits established through rulemaking.

Creates three management zones with different daily and possession limits: northeastern zone (limit of two), north central zone (limit of ten), and southern zone (limit of two), with varying size restrictions by fishing method.

Northeastern zone allows only one pike over 40 inches when angling and one over 26 inches when dark house spearing, with fish between 30-40 inches requiring immediate release.

North central zone permits two pike over 26 inches when angling, with fish 22-26 inches requiring immediate release; allows alternative combinations when dark house spearing.

Southern zone requires a minimum size of 24 inches for all pike taken by angling or dark house spearing, with a daily limit of two.

Boundary waters are exempt from all zone-based restrictions and retain existing regulations.

Commissioner must report by January 15, 2027, on the success of the regulations with recommendations on whether to keep or modify them.
