Adds "the judicial branch" to the list of entities permitted to receive Social Security numbers from Department of Public Safety driver's license and motor vehicle registration records for purposes of debt collection.

Maintains existing restrictions that Social Security numbers can only be released as specified in statute and prohibits the department from selling or providing individual Social Security numbers for any other purpose.

Amends Minnesota Statutes 2015 Supplement, section 13.69, subdivision 1, which governs classification of Department of Public Safety data as private or confidential.

Introduced March 17, 2016, and referred to the Judiciary Committee.
