Extends the sunset date for an existing exception to the consumer-directed community supports budget methodology that provides up to 20 percent additional funding for participants turning 21 and graduating high school between 2013 and 2015.

The exception applies only to participants who can demonstrate they would have to leave consumer-directed community supports and use other waiver services because their day or employment support needs cannot be met within current budget limits.

The commissioner of human services shall consult with stakeholders to implement this provision and must seek federal approval for the waiver amendment if necessary.

The amendments are effective on June 1, 2016, and expire when Laws 2015, chapter 71, article 7, section 54, becomes effective.

The commissioner must notify the revisor of statutes when the referenced 2015 law provision becomes effective to trigger the expiration of this extension.
