Increases maximum gross vehicle weight limits by up to 550 pounds for vehicles equipped with idle-reduction technology or emissions-reduction technology to compensate for the weight of such equipment.

Increases maximum gross vehicle weight limits by up to 2,000 pounds for natural gas vehicles, calculated according to United States Code, title 23, section 127(s).

Permits both weight limit increases to be applied cumulatively to the same vehicle if it qualifies for both credits.

Requires vehicle operators to provide documentation or demonstration proving the vehicle meets technology requirements upon request by the Department of Transportation or Department of Public Safety.

Directs the revisor of statutes to recodify Minnesota Statutes section 160.02, subdivision 21a, as section 169.011, subdivision 46a, and correct related cross-references.
