Increases general education revenue for charter schools operating extended day, extended week, or summer programs by 25 percent of the statewide average extended time revenue per adjusted pupil unit.

Modifies Minnesota Statutes section 124E.20, subdivision 1, to include extended time revenue in the calculation of charter school general education revenue.

Applies an appropriation from the general fund to the commissioner of education in fiscal year 2017 to cover additional extended time revenue costs incurred by charter schools.

Effective for fiscal year 2017 and later.
