Amends Minnesota Statutes section 256B.0625 to add medical assistance coverage for services provided by certified community emergency medical technicians (CEMTs)

CEMTs may provide posthospital discharge visits when ordered by a treating physician, including vital sign monitoring, medication and food access confirmation, discharge order reminders, and home hazard identification

Individuals with repeat fall-related ambulance calls, recent nursing home discharge, or identified as at-risk for nursing home placement may receive CEMT safety evaluation visits ordered by primary care providers, including medication access, food access, and home hazard assessment

CEMTs are compensated at $9.75 per 15-minute increment, with prohibition on billing both posthospital discharge and safety evaluation visits for the same recipient on the same day

Effective date is January 1, 2017, or upon federal approval, whichever is later
