Requires every motorcycle owner registered or operating in Minnesota to maintain uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage in addition to liability insurance.

Coverage may be provided through an insurance contract complying with section 65B.49, subdivision 3a, or by qualifying as a self-insurer.

Requires insurers to attach a separate written notice in at least 10-point bold type to motorcycle insurance applications without personal injury protection coverage, informing applicants that motorcycle policies need only provide liability coverage and auto insurance PIP will not extend to motorcycle accidents.

Amends Minnesota Statutes 2014, section 65B.48, subdivision 5 regarding motorcycle coverage requirements.
