Manager's duties include ensuring protection and restoration of surface water and groundwater resources and preventing degradation to benefit current and future generations of Minnesotans

Water policy manager serves as the governor's representative to the Legislative Water Commission established under section 3.886

Provision becomes effective the day following final enactment
