Appropriates $380,000 from the general fund in fiscal year 2017 to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to support the regional American Indian contextualized adult basic education pathway program.

Grant recipients are the American Indian Opportunities and Industrialization Center and the Northwest Indian Community Development Center, focused on reducing academic disparities for American Indian adults.

Funds may be used for information technology training, GED assistance, remedial training for postsecondary enrollment, and real-time work experience in information technology fields.

This is a one-time appropriation available until June 30, 2018.
